A modern technology for the detection of different types of cancer and its characteristics is about to start operating at the Arnaldo Milián Castro Hospital, in Santa Clara, to benefit patients from the central provinces of the country.
According to Dr. Daniel Artiles Martínez, a first-degree specialist in Pathological Anatomy at the prestigious institution, it is an immunohistochemistry (IHQ) laboratory, which will enable much more accurate and precise diagnoses to be made.

Cuba is elected member of two permanent commissions of the United Nations
Cuba was elected yesterday as a full member, by acclamation, of the Commission on Social Development and the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, both of the United Nations.
This was announced on the social network X by Party Political Bureau member and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, who stressed that «this election is evidence of the international recognition of our country’s work in these areas.»
