Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal, highlighted on Wednesday Cuba’s achievements in the application of free cochlear implants, on the occasion of the celebration of the World Day dedicated to this technique.

The minister wrote on Twitter: “ The Cuban Cochlear Implant Program, which our country has been promoting since 2005, is one of the achievements of the National Health System, and a sign of Cuba’s constant concern for its children, especially those with disabilities.”

Esteban Lazo, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP by its Spanish acronym) met on Thursday with a delegation of Social Democrat MPs from the European parliament at the Havana Capitol.

Representing the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, the seven guests led by Iratxe Garci were first received by Ana Maria Mari Machado, vice president of the ANPP, who accompanied them on tour through the Capitol.

Cuba’s Foreign Minister holds talks in Paris with French Secretary of State

 

 

 

 

 

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and the Secretary of State of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, met in Paris on Thursday, where they agreed on the need to boost bilateral relations.

During the encounter, the parties discussed the progress of the links between the two countries and the interest in deepening the high-level political-diplomatic dialogue and in making progress in the economic-commercial relationships and investment.
