Cuba receives support from Canada to end the US blockade

Cuba this Monday thanked Cubans and Canadian friends for supporting to end the illegal and immoral US blockade against Cuba.
In a message on Twitter, Cuban Ambassador to Canada Josefina Vidal wrote that six cities joined the global caravan this weekend for the cessation of the cruel US measure.

‘Thank you very much Cubans and Canadian friends for your solidarity,’ Vidal tweeted.

In Montreal, the participants in the protest demanded the end of the criminal blockade and expressed their support for the nomination of the doctors of the Henry Reeve Cuban Medical Brigade to the Nobel Peace Prize.

Meanwhile in Winnipeg, Vancouver and Nanaimo, dozens of cars with protesters waved flags from both countries and carried banners demanded the end of the Helms-Burton Act and other arbitrary actions by the US Governments against Cuba and its people.

Also this weekend in more than 20 US cities, there were caravans demanding that the White House end the blockade against Cuba.

Elena Freyre, president of the Foundation for the Normalization of Cuba-United States Relations, told Prensa Latina that we will be there today and as many times as necessary until our claim becomes a reality.

The actions against the blockade, described by US academic Jacob G. Hornberger, president of The Future of Freedom Foundation, as ‘an evil and destructive dinosaur of the Cold War that deserves to be extinguished,’ took place in more than 30 US and Canadian cities.

US protesters asked the Joe Biden Government to end restrictions to Cuba and called for normal relations between the two countries when the White House spokesmen barely said the policy towards Cuba is in a ‘review process.’
