Cuba denounces multimillion dollar losses due to US blockade in tourism sector.

The imposition of new sanctions by the United States against Cuba in just over a year caused multimillion-dollar losses, Havana’s permanent mission to the UN denounced on Wednesday.

From April 2019 to March 2020, the US blockade affected Cuban tourism in areas related to travel, services, operations, and logistics insurance, reflected in losses that amount to about 1,888,386,675 dollars, according to the diplomatic office’s press release.

Cuba president insists on protection of children against Covid-19

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Wednesday insisted on the protection of children and teenagers against Covid-19, and warned about the sequels of the disease.

On his Twitter account, the president recalled that more than 6,300 children under 18 years of age have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Cuba, including 270 of them in the past 48 hours.
