Cuba contra Covid-19 . Se reportan 16 nuevos casos y ningún fallecido en las últimas 24 horas.

 

 

 

 

 

El Director Nacional de Epidemiología del Ministerio de Salud Pública de Cuba, Francisco Duran, informó que al cierre de este lunes se confirmaron   16 casos positivos a la COVID-19 para un acumulado de mil 963 personas, así como ningún fallecido.

El jefe de la Diplomacia de la Unión Europea (UE), Josep Borrell, dijo el lunes en un encuentro con embajadores alemanes que “Los analistas llevan tiempo hablando sobre el fin de un sistema liderado por EE.UU. y la llegada de un siglo asiático”.

La vacuna cubana contra la meningitis meningocóccica, identificada como Va-Mengoc-BC, fue incorporada a los protocolos de prevención de la Covid-19 en la Mayor de las Antillas.

Con casi treinta años de utilización y más de 60 millones de dosis administradas en Cuba y el mundo, este fármaco ha demostrado su efectividad en la prevención específica de la meningitis meningocóccica. En el escenario de pandemia, se evaluó positivamente su empleo en personas de alto riesgo epidemiológico.

El presidente de Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, reiteró este lunes en el Día de África que este continente siempre podrá contar con la nación caribeña.

En su cuenta de twitter el primer mandatario recordó que de esas tierras trajeron los españoles a los ancestros de las generaciones actuales de cubanos, quienes volvieron a ellas en decenas de miles, voluntariamente, para luchar por la independencia.

Cuba’s vaccination program against 14 diseases continues amid the confrontation with COVID-19, said Francisco Durán, Director of Epidemiology at the Public Health Ministry.

The Cuban scheme of 11 vaccines, including 8 produced nationally, is applied taking into account the age groups of the people who receive this benefit.

Dr. Duran specified that, although the polio and flu vaccines have been postponed, other vaccines continue to be applied to the corresponding age groups.

The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, expressed this Sunday that one of the confirmed cases at the close of Saturday was detected when entering the country.

This is a Cuban from a medical mission abroad, where at the José Martí International Airport in Havana it was identified that she had some symptoms of COVID-19. She was sent directly from the airport to the Pedro Kourí Institute of Tropical Medicine to be hospitalized.

The Interreligious Platform of Cuba has released a statement repudiating the most recent hostile actions of the United States against our country as well as Washington’s blockade of the island.

The religious movement, which includes the seven religions established across the country, expressed its indignation of the “unjust” inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that “do not cooperate with anti-terrorist efforts” shortly after the attack on its embassy in Washington, DC.

Cuban citizens stranded in the U.S. will return to Havana on Friday.

 

 

 

 

 

As a result of the coordination efforts that have taken place over the past two weeks between U.S. and Cuban authorities, Cuban citizens stranded in the United States in the midst of the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus pandemic will be able to return to the island on Friday on two charter flights.

A 20 días del ataque terrorista a la embajada de Cuba en Washington, el Gobierno de Estados Unidos aún guarda silencio. Sin embargo, incluyó a La Habana en una lista unilateral de países que “no cooperan” en la lucha contra el terrorismo, lo que ha sido calificado por Carlos Fernández de Cossío, director general para EE.UU. del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (Minrex), como “un acto político, deliberado y profundamente deshonesto”.

Cuban foreign minister praises medical collaboration against COVID-19.

 

 

 

 

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez highlighted this Wednesday the contribution of the Caribbean nation’s health collaborators who are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic in different parts of the world.

On his Twitter account, the top Cuban diplomat stressed that, in view of the international health emergency, some 2,300 Cuban specialists, organized in 26 Henry Reeve Brigades, traveled to 24 countries to fight the new disease.
