Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez called attention on Monday to the importance of international cooperation in knowledge and good practices in the fight against the new coronavirus SARS Cov-2.

On his account on the social network Twitter, the head of Cuba’s diplomacy said that in the fight against COVID-19, «it is imperative to exchange experiences and share information, scientific research and resources; and concert efforts.»

He also said that «it is up to the international community should act together to shorten the duration of the pandemic and save lives. We still time.»

In a recent statement, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said that the dimension of the current crisis forces nations to cooperate and practice solidarity, even recognizing political differences.

«The virus does not respect borders or ideologies.»  For this reason, it is necessary to share and offer valuable and reliable information as a matter of urgency.
